Romantic Mansoon Recipe....

Romantic Mansoon Recipe....

Rain makes a heart Go Romantic, why not enjoy these rainy days with your love.  Lets enjoy these days in a hatke style by cooking together.... because going out at a restaurant can be the ultimate treat but noting says I love you more than home cooked grub that you have  put time and effort into, which will cherish your love for each other. Cooking and love: Though it may seem like two unrelated ideas, the truth is they go hand-in-hand, How, you ask? Cooking is an activity that allows a couple to connect to an intimate level, to be creative and strengthen their relationship. One should enjoy these moments too.

I tried to share one simple snack recipe below which can be enjoyed by  seating two of you in a balcony, seeing rain, enjoying soft music and having good romantic time together.

Recipe type – Snack
Cuisine – Indian
Serves –  6-8 cutlets

Ingredients –

·         Corn cob – 1 (medium sized)
      Cheese –  8-10  tbs (grated)

·         Boiled Potatoes – 3 (medium sized)
·         Green chillies  - 2 (Chopped)

·         Chaat masala – ½ tbs

·         Coriander leaves – 4 tbs (Chopped)

·         Cumin powder – ½ tbs

·         Corn flour or rice flour – 1.5 tbs

·         Ginger – 1/2 tbs (finely chopped)

·         Lime juice – 1 tbs

·         Bread Crumbs

·         Salt – as required

·         Oil – for frying

Method –

1       Boil corn cob till the kernels are tender.

2       Take out kernels with the help of knife.

3         In a bowl take corn kernels, (you can slightly grind corn kernels and use it, but if used whole it   taste better) now add mashed boiled potatoes, finely chopped ginger, chopped chillies, coriander  leaves, chaat masala, cumin powder, lime juice, salt and mix well. If you like little spicy then you can add red chili powder.

4       Now add cheese & mix well.

5    Now make medium sized balls out of this mixture & flatten them to form an oval shape. You can give shape as per your choice too. Since our theme is quite romantic, you can shape it into a heart shape with the help of shaper.....let show your spouse some creativity. Keep these cutlets aside.

6.       In another bowl make a thin paste of corn flour by adding water step by step to it. Add some salt to it for taste.

7.       Heat oil in frying pan till medium hot.

8.       Dip cutlets in corn paste & then in bread crumbs & fry on medium flame till they becomes golden in colour.

9.       Flip a couple of times to get even colour & crisp texture.

10.  Take out cutlets on paper napkin to soak extra oil.
